When I graduated college in 2007 I had a zombie action plan, I was a reasonably healthy young man. Then I moved and I didn't create a new plan. I also settled into a desk job. I got into a routine: drive to work, sit on my butt, drive home, sit on my butt, go to sleep, repeat. A change in environment and a switch from active college student life to sedentary cubicle life brought on some serious weight gain. In the course of two years I gained 50+ pounds and was diagnosed with hypertension.
So what's a 25 year old kid with high blood pressure supposed to do?
Get off the couch and quit the McDonald's that's what I should do. But that would be boring, and you can already watch that on "Biggest Loser".
Why not combine getting in shape with apocalyptic survival preparedness?
Honestly, I have often wondered if I would be any good if I survived any sort of disaster, zombie or otherwise. I can't run more than a few hundred feet without getting winded, faced with a crisis I would hardly be able to help myself let alone my family or those around me. I'd have maybe 15 minutes, then I would be hungry for brains.
